Using rattan grasses collected near the camp, a group of Burundi refugees make beautiful furniture. The Tanganyika Christian Refugee Service (an NGO) helps them arrange sales - but they are getting such a good reputation now that traders come to the camp to buy directly.
(One can order furniture (and other products by the refugees) to be shipped - a basic set of 1 sofa, 2 chairs + a table costs under $80, but shipping would be extra ... TCRS has a website.)

Thanks to TCRS, yes! At least, compared to prices locally. By European standards, it's really cheap - around 75 US dollars a rattan sofa, + chair + table. But then there are the shipping costs on top of that ...
