A writing desk from the Imperial Loyalist Collection. From the mid-1930s rattan was no longer the main focus and Imperial Loyalist furniture became one of the the predominant lines of manufacture. In 1940 Imperial Rattan again expanded their floor space by adding 20,000 square feet. During World War II Imperial Rattan, along with other leading furniture manufacturers, turned their staff's woodworking skills over to producing wing spars for deHaviland Mosquito airplanes.
